L’oréal Paris infallible 24H- Matte Review

A few weeks ago I bought this foundation. It's the L'oréal Paris Infallible 24H-Matte foundation in shade 11 vanilla. It was perfectly matching my skin colour, but then the sun came out and I tanned a little. And right now this foundation is a little bit too light for me. But I still want to tell you about this foundation because it’s a good one!

The reason why I’m so happy about this foundation is because this one finally stays longer than the other foundations I’ve tried on my oily skin. You might know by now, my face is very oily. My skin just overproduce oil which also comes with the greasy hair problem. (But that’s another blogpost> click!)

If you have an oily skin then open your eyes and read carefully. This foundation stays on longer than others. It’s not 24 hours as L’oréal promises on the package but it’s longer than all the others I’ve tried, which is surprisingly good. (You must know that I ALWAYS use mattifying primer and powders to make my foundation stay on my face as long as possible) So everything in combination makes it good. If I don’t use the mattifying products no foundation will stay on, it’ll slide off my face immediately.

Another good thing about this foundation is that it’s coverage is very good. It covers my ‘red’ cheeks well. For spots I still have to use a little bit of concealer but I love how this one covers the little spots.
So those are the good things: 1 it stays on longer than other foundations and 2 it covers little blemishes really well. The bigger ones still need concealer too stop them from shining redness through my foundation. Oh, and it doesn't feel very heavy on my skin!

And the price of this foundation is also a good thing. It costed me I think €16 or €17. Which is not a bad price I think! The package is also good, because the foundation is thin, but not watery, it's package has a small ending where the foundation comes out. It makes sure you don't squeeze out too much foundation.

There is sadly one thing about this foundation that I don’t really like: when I take a photo of me with flashlight, my face lights up like a ghost.  And I’m having snapchat since a few weeks (Add me! ErikaRianne) but because of that I don’t like it as much as I did first.
But still this foundation is my favourite at the moment, all though a little bit too light right now, I’m still thinking about buying one shade darker for when I tan more and I really can’t use this one anymore.

And if you know a foundation that doesn’t light up when pictures are taken with the flashlight on and/or is good for an oily skin please let me know in the comments below! I’d like to try out new ones since I’m still looking for better foundations!

Movie Review: Mother's Day

As you might know, I love movies and series. And I’m seriously considering on buying a cinema subscription because there are so many movies coming these upcoming months! I don’t have the money to go and see them all. And with the cinema subscription I only pay €19,99 per month and then I’m free to go to every movie I want to. So maybe that’s an idea since I also went to mother’s day last week. (Two movies in one week.) And that costed me more than when I do the cinema subscription. I’m still thinking about it…

But mother’s day. Most of us have celebrated it last Sunday and gave our mommy presents and all the love for that one day!
And I also went to see the movie. Not with my mom but with my cinema buddy Saschia. When we meet we do nothing more than driving in her car to the cinema, talking, watching a movie, eating and then go home. (We always have a great time
J )

About the movie

This movie is lovely. What I love the most is that this is comedy but also with some serious issues in it about the motherhood. It’s filmed hilarious. The actresses and actors in it are great. But what I love the most about it is that it’s not only fun and laughter.

The movies has different storylines. One them is a family that lost their mom last year when she was in the army. You see how hard it is for the daughters and how hard it is for the father to deal with it too. Also, the divorced mom who has to share her kids with the new girlfriend of her ex-husband. Everything is in there. From being adopted and finding your mom, of being a new mom and making decisions for the rest of your life and not having seen mom in long long time due to different opinions.

But even though these subjects are sometimes very heavy for a woman it still is filmed with funny pieces which makes this movie so good.
They don’t pretend that mother’s day is easy for every mom. But that it also can be really hard sometimes in different situations.
But they never lost the comedy in the movie.

So while it was a very amusing movie it also made me realise that life isn’t always that easy. And that combination is what I love so much about it.

Have you seen mother’s day? What did you think about it?

3 Lies about the Sun

Over the years I’ve heard people telling each other stories about the sun which made me wonder: are they true or false? So here are three statements that are totally lies but everyone has heard them and sometimes believed them and told them to others too. Hopefully it will makes some things clear about the sun.

When it’s cloudy I don’t have to use sunscreen.
If it’s raining all day you don’t need sun protection but otherwise you will need it. When it’s cloudy the sun will shine through the clouds and the radiation of the sun is still powerful and it’s possible for you to get a sunburn.

The higher the SPF in a
sunscreen, the less you tan.
SPF is protecting you from burning, not from not getting tanned. People who have a lighter skin do need a higher SPF sunscreen because they get a sunburn quicker than someone who has a darker skin. But everybody needs a sunscreen.

Because I wear foundation my face doesn’t tan.
The sunbeams goes right through you foundation. It’s not some kind of iron mask you put on your face. These days we can buy foundation with SPF in it. The tanning process only gets slowed down a tiny little bit because of the foundation but it’s not that no sun radiance is coming through your foundation. So when it’s summer: use a foundation that has SPF in it because your face will need protection too!

Movie Review: The Jungle Book

Friday last week me and my sisters decided we wanted to go to the movies. I said that jungle was just released and we all agreed to go and see The Jungle Book.

We all had heard good words about the movie so we were really excited to see it ourselves. Especially me. I’ve seen many many movies with animals and CGI and stuff. (Some movies more believable than others) This movie has only one human in it and the rest is CGI and I was so excited to see all the animals as real as possible. I know how bad CGI sometimes can be but this movie is seriously overwhelmingly good. The animals looks so good and so real. I loved watching a childhood movie being remade and being perfect. It was so much like the old story of the first Disney movie. (I haven’t seen it in a while.) But what I could remember was fantastic remade in this movie.

Also Neel Sethi, the little boy who plays Mowgli, is one good little actor. We see all the fantastic beasts of the jungle on screen but all he had to work with was probably so much green screen that at the end of the day all he saw was green and nothing else. And this guy act so well. I loved how this little guy was just running around in his little red pants and he made this so real to me. I loved watching it.

If you’re a Disney lover and you like to see a movie remade from an animated movie to a movie with real people. (This has only one human in it.) I say: ‘go and take someone’s hand and drag him or her into the cinema.’ You’ll have fun and enjoy the jungle with little Mowgli. And Grey is the cutest little wolf of the whole Wolfpack! No one can disagree with me about that.
